Given the size and scale of Maricopa County, there is need for a collective effort within social service organizations to provide adequate resources that serve and support the community. With over four hundred thousand youth ages 10-24 in Maricopa County as of 2017, youth often have needs beyond a single professional’s scope of work. By building the capacity of youth-serving organizations, we can improve the impact of professionals and enhance the services youth receive.
To that end, Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and Collective STEP for Youth (STEP) contracted with the Arizona Family Health Partnership to assist in the goals of STEP by developing, housing, and maintaining a comprehensive resource hub website for youth-serving professionals. Thus, the Collective Resource Hub ("The Hub") was created.
This site is intended to be used as a space where community partners can easily share events, opportunities, and resources in Maricopa County. It serves as a one-stop comprehensive hub for youth-serving professionals to find resources to enable them to improve the lives of the clients they serve and to connect with other like-minded partners. This website is owned and operated by Arizona Family Health Partnership.
Collective STEP for Youth Coalition - Collective STEP for Youth Coalition is a group of professionals and community members who are passionate about building the capacity of youth-serving organizations to enhance adolescent wellbeing. “STEP” describes the Coalition’s approach to advancing adolescent health and wellbeing: Support, Train, Engage, Prepare. Launched by the Maricopa County Department of Public Health through a grant from the Office of Adolescent Health (OAH), Collective STEP for Youth Coalition convenes organizations serving adolescents to increase protective factors and decrease risk factors by offering professional development and networking opportunities to prevent teen pregnancy and enhance adolescent wellbeing.
